Getting to know Sofia was very interesting and even with my horrible service I was able to learn some pretty amazing things. Sofia is a senior in college and is studying child education. I realized she would be amazing in this field because she already has had the experience of being a mom to a little boy named Sailyn.. Sofia is also a capricorn and loves the color pink. 

Some of the things that I learned about her past was that she grew up in the Dominican Republic and received her education there. I also found out that she has many regrets and wishes that she could have told her younger self to not give up on them. She believes if she would have pursued those things things would’ve been better tenfold. Her goals in life are to pursue her degree in childhood education and become the best teacher she believes it’s important to have kids learn at such a young age. 

The things we have in common are that we both grew up in a Dominican household. We both have memories of our grandmothers and having pictures of the family in the home. I also feel like we share the same feeling that we would’ve done things differently in the past even though I don’t regret how I am because of the decisions I made. Some differences we have is i grew up in the united states and she didn’t, she is a Capricorn and i am a Sagittarius and i don’t really fancy the color pink, sometimes.

I really loved getting to know Sofia, it’s my first time being in a class with a young mom and I admire that about her. She is not letting her role as a mom stop her from her role as a student and that is something to be proud of. I believe all these qualities will carry her amazingly in her ventures and will give her the experience to be the best teacher she can be. I know when her son is older he will be just as proud.
